Why Join The Guild?

The #1 reason to join the Guild is to benefit YOUR child.

Joining the PTO is a simple and meaningful way to show your child you care. As a member, you will be part of a supportive community of parents and educators who work together to create a positive, enriching, and school experience. Your voice and involvement help shape the programs and events that make our school special. It’s much more than meetings—it’s about making memories, building connections, and being part of something that truly matters.

But there are many more advantages:

• Discover Great Resources – The Guild offers a variety of programs designed for students, as well as parents.
• Tap into a Network – The Guild functions provide opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, build rapport, and discuss parenting issues that are on your mind.
• Watch yourself grow – By volunteering at MTA, you gain valuable experiences and personal confidence. It’s an opportunity to put your skills and hobbies to good use for a good cause.
• Speak Up - Because the Guild is a forum for exchanging ideas, you are encouraged to make suggestions, participate, and be part of positive improvements at MTA.
• Help Your Child Succeed – The Guild fosters parent involvement. Parent involvement has been proven by research to be the greatest predictor of student success.
• Witness Improvement – By getting involved, you will be part of the solution, helping make positive changes. Local APTs play an important role in fundraising to provide building improvements, curriculum-based programs, and social events – all vital to the school’s success.
• Be a Role Model – By becoming a Guild member, you will be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on their education.

Anyone can join The Guild: parents, students, grandparents, business owners, friends, etc.

***A special note to Grandparents! — Welcome!  If you are signing up as a grandparent or extended family member, add your grandchildren's names to your account in the student section. Just be sure to select "Grandparent/Extended Family" (from the "How are you connected to our school" list)  to avoid confusing our database :)

How to Join:

Joining the MTA Guild is easy- we promise!! The Guild subscribes to Membership Toolkit —an online service that makes it easier to work together — and produces far less paperwork for everyone!  The software is secure, easy to use, and free to families. Once you register/log in, you can purchase a Guild Membership, buy Spirit Wear, AND most importantly receive our timely communications!

Step 1: Click the “Become a Member” button and follow the prompts.

Step 2:  Verify your email, then tell us about your family. Specify what information you'd like to appear or not appear in the online directory 

Step 2: Select your preferred membership level and join the Guild for the current school year!
